PAID Beaver County Times journalism internship

The Beaver County Times in Beaver, Pennsylvania, is accepting applications for a paid photojournalism internship. Payment is $50 per published assignment. The previous intern averaged about 15 hours and 4-5 assignment a week.
We’re about 45 minutes outside of Pittsburgh and the coverage area runs the gamut from old mill towns to rural and suburban areas.
The internship will require a minimum of 15 hours a week. While we will consider all candidates, this opportunity would best suit for someone who lives in the Pittsburgh or Beaver County area.
Our readers come to us for news they can’t get elsewhere and that includes a heavy emphasis on high school sports. Applicants should have some work from sporting events in their portfolios.
Our photo staff includes one part-time and three full-time photojournalists. We also have two videographers on staff.
Applicants must have their own equipment and reliable transportation. We have Nikon long glass and studio lighting available.

Links to online portfolios are preferred but images on CD or DVD will be accepted. Portfolios should include at least 20 single images and one photo story.
