Tribune Review Internships

Tribune-Review seeks interns

The Tribune-Review and TribLIVE.com seek applicants for paid news internships during summer 2016.

Positions are available in news reporting, sports reporting, copy editing, multimedia graphics and photography.

Most internships are based in the Pittsburgh newsroom on the city’s North Shore, between PNC Park and Heinz Field; some are with the Tribune-Review newsroom in Greensburg or the Valley News Dispatch newsroom in Tarentum. Regardless of where they are based, interns are expected to produce quality work and coverage ideas worthy of prominent display online and in print.

Internships typically last 11-13 weeks, depending on the student’s school schedule. A car and valid driver’s license are required. Applicants must have completed at least their sophomore year in college. Recent graduates and graduate students are eligible.

To apply, indicate which type of internship interests you most. Email cover letter, resume and work samples to internships@tribweb.com. Writers should submit a maximum of six clips; photographers should provide 10 single images, a photo story and a video; artists should provide samples of work appearing online and in print; copy editors should include headline and layout samples and, if possible, before and after samples of stories they’ve edited.

For files too large to email, submit web links or send CD/DVD to News Internships, Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Third Floor, 503 Martindale St., Pittsburgh, PA 15212.  Application deadline is Jan. 15, 2016.
